A Databricks 1,3 milliárd dollárért felvásárolja a MosaicML generatív AI platformot
Software company Databricks has acquired AI training company MosaicML for $1.3 billion. The acquisition is a sign of how strategic AI is becoming to large companies and also an indication that there's money to be made in supplying the picks and shovels used by the workers of the AI revolution. Note that terms of the "$1.3 billion" aren't disclosed and it seems likely a lot of it is mostly in equity in private company Databricks - nonetheless, it means the CEO of Databricks is willing to put $1.3 billion of their own theoretical wealth on the line to bet that AI training is valuable.
